Washington Butler, a native Puyallup Washington was always interested in art. She was a singer in choirs, entered contests for singing and also performed in high school and community theatre. Following her move into Los Angeles, she studied theater at The University of Southern California and played Belle the princess on the stage in Beauty and the Beast at Disneyland for one year and one quarter. Then she dropped out of school. focused on finding an agent for talent and started looking for opportunities in television as well as film. Butler guest-starred on the television show CSI: Miami and CSI: NY.She was cast in the feature film A Couple of White Chicks at the Hair Dresser and in the 2008 Syfy TV film of horror Flu Bird Horror. This year, Butler had the role of a regular on the web-based series of Don Stark, Luke 1117. Butler also played a regular role on I Love Vampires, a web-based serial. Butler won the leading part in the 2010 rape revenge thriller I Spit on Your Grave. The remake is a re-make from 1978 of the beloved iconic film with the same title. While initially dissuaded by the nudity of the film and its violence, the film's powerful female character and strong arc convinced her to play the part. Butler starred in Jennifer Hills as a novelist brutally sexually assaulted in a hotel room while on vacation. Steven R. Monroe, director of the film, released it on October 8th 2010. Butler began shooting the thriller psychological The Stranger Within alongside Estella Warren and William Baldwin in Mallorca Spain during November of 2011. Butler joined the film's cast in Los Angeles of Treachery, starring Michael Biehn. Filming began in Los Angeles on June 12, 2012. Butler co-starred with Michael Welch in 2013's horror film The Demented.
